Dr. Ghaleb and the staff at the El Paso Varicose Veins Laser Clinic take a comprehensive approach in screening and diagnosing our patients. This is done to ensure that each patient receives the treatment option that is best suited for them and for their particular health situation. The most common treatments that we provide for patients include Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT), sclerotherapy, and phlebectomy. EVLT is an extremely convenient and quick procedure that eradicates malfunctioning veins. It is a minimally invasive alternative to surgery that uses laser energy to close faulty vein valves which improves blood flow and causes the unhealthy veins to be absorbed by the body. EVLT is 97 percent effective and is conducted in about 30 to 45 minutes per each leg at the El Paso Varicose Veins Laser Clinic. It does not require general anesthesia and is covered by most insurance plans.

Dr. Ghaleb and his staff also utilize sclerotherapy to eliminate spider veins and varicose veins. A procedure that has been utilized since the 1930s, sclerotherapy involves directly injection a solution into an unhealthy vein. This solution eventually causes the blood to clot and the vessel then fades from view. At the El Paso Varicose Veins Laser Clinic, sclerotherapy procedures typically take between 15 and 30 minutes and are conducted onsite by our fully trained specialists. Phlebectomy is another procedure that is commonly performed by the staff members at the El Paso Varicose Veins Laser Clinic. Phlebectomy involves using a surgical hook device to remove faulty veins. The procedure typically requires micro-incisions, although these cause almost imperceptible marks. Patients are sent home immediately after phlebectomy procedures and are then usually required to return to our office in 7 days for a follow up.
