Dr. Ellertson is a Board Certified Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon who commits his entire medical practice to the diagnosis and treatment of venous conditions. Over the course of his career, Dr. Ellertson has cared for thousands of patients who had vein problems in one form or another. In fact, Dr. Ellertson is not only regularly referred patients from Northern and Central California, he also treats out of state patients. Dr. Ellertson graduated from the University of California Irvine College of Medicine in 1968. His medical training and technical ability enable him to treat patients using the most cutting edge, minimally invasive technology. The majority of vein procedures conducted at Modesto Vein Center are performed in the office using local anesthesia. These in office procedures enable patients to obtain treatment without causing a significant interruption in their daily lives. However, if more complex treatment is required, then outpatient procedures are performed at a local hospital. In his spare time, Dr. Ellertson enjoys white water sports, hiking, running, and mountain biking.
