Dr. Bowers and his staff take a multifaceted approach to vein diagnosis and treatment. In general, Dr. Bowers and his team prefer minimally invasive techniques that enable patients to receive the care they need without invasive surgical procedures. Individualized treatment programs are developed depending on the needs of each individual patient. These treatment programs may include conservative vein treatment techniques like compression stockings, Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA), Sclerotherapy, Vein Stripping, or Ambulatory Phlebectomy, all performed in the office under local anesthesia. Whichever treatment is chosen, all procedures are conducted by board certified surgeons. The staff at Bowers Vein Institute also offers treatments for restless legs, dry itchy legs, leg discoloration and venous ulcerations. Medical spa procedures as Botox and fillers, and photorejuvenation are also offered.
Bowers Vein Institute is particularly proud to offer Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) treatment for varicose veins. Over 100,000 EVLA treatments have been performed to date. This effective, safe alternative to traditional surgery is becoming the gold standard in treatment for varicose veins. EVLA procedures are typically covered in full by Medicare and private health insurance carriers. Endovenous laser treatments, EVLA, typically take less than an hour to perform and require only local anesthesia. As a result, these procedures result in very little or no down time. After completion, many patients experience dramatic relief of their aching, heaviness, swelling and leg cramps.

Ultrasound concluded what I had already suspected because of the alleviation of my symptoms. Where radio frequency had failed, the laser procedure had been successful in the closure of the vein in my right leg. I am extremely grateful to the clinic, doctors and staff for helping me. I can't believe how simple the procedure was and how much better I feel. - Nanette T., EVLT Patient
