How do spider veins develop on your hands?

I think I am developing spider veins on my hands. I know spider veins occur on your legs, but how do they develop on your hands? Are treatment options different for spider veins on your hands?

Spider veins can occur on all parts of the body. Laser and sclerotherapy are effective treatments.

Venous congestion and mild traumas contribute to the development of spider veins in various parts of the body including areas other than the legs. The treatment of spider veins on the hands may include either sclerotherapy or laser treatment depending on the size of the veins and pigmentation of the skin. Treatment should be equally as effective on the hands as it is more commonly done on the legs.
