I am a bike rider and like to ride hard, hilly courses for 1-3 hours. How soon after a phlebectomy can I ride my road bike? Will there be any complications if I starting riding immediately?

Aerobic exercise (such as walking) is generally very beneficial after any vein treatment. Following a minimally invasive phlebectomy, the amount of time to wait before any high intensity, high impact exercise would be several weeks (typically at least two to three) depending on the size of vein, location, and technique used. I would also recommend exercising while wearing your compression hose on your legs for external support.
