Video Overview

Are there any health risks associated with vein treatment? The health risks with treating varicose veins in the past were quite considerable. Patients had to undergo general anesthesia. But, the newer techniques we employ today, this is done in an office setting with minimal risk to the patient. No procedure is risk-free and there is always a chance for mining complications such as bleeding, infection - but these are rare. More serious complications could include deep vein thrombosis or blockage of the vein in the deep system, which is very rare and less than one percent.
