Changes in lifestyle will not make the varicose veins disappear but symptoms will improve very commonly if one does certain simple things; a moderate degree of exercise is helpful, avoiding prolonged sitting or standing is helpful, wearing elastic support hose is helpful as well. Additionally, one of the most important things that people can do is to lose weight if you are overweight because that extra weight creates extra pressure on the veins in the pelvis.
