Can you get spider veins on your legs? Answer: Spider veins occur in most people. Actually 70% of women and about 40% of men will have spider veins in some points of their lives, and then there are many things that can cause spider veins. Spider veins occur most commonly in the legs, but they can also occur in other parts of the body. The spider veins that occur in the legs can be from the underlying vein problem or can just be a cosmetic issue that occurs, and that's the most common problem that we see. But spider veins can even be due to secondary trauma to the legs if somebody gets a blow to their leg or it can also be related to hormonal changes. Women often see them after pregnancy. So spider veins are very common ad the older you get, the more likely you are to have spider veins, but they are also something that can easily be treated.
