Video Overview

How does endovenous ablation work? Endovenous ablation works by the insertion of a laser fiber into the saphenous vein that is being treated. That fiber is then drawn back at an appropriate time interval in order to ablate and close and coagulate the vein. This has been approved since 2001 and is the current standard of treatment for varicose veins, venous insufficiency and the treatment to help treat venous ulcers on the legs.
