Video Overview

How does sclerotherapy cause spider veins to disappear? Sclerotherapy causes spider veins to disappear in the following way: a tiny amount of medicine is injected into the spider vein through a very tiny needle. That causes a chemical irritation to the inside lining of the spider vein wall. That in turn causes the spider vein to close down. Once the spider vein is closed down, the body absorbs it and it disappears.
