Video Overview

How effective is Endovenous Laser Treatment? The most remarkable improvement in the treatment of varicose vein disease has been the development of Endovenous Laser Ablation. It has reduced the recurrence rate of varicose vein disease to 2 percent. Prior to the development of endovenous laser ablation, varicose vein treatment consisted of an invasive vein stripping surgery and was associated with a recurrence rate of 40 to 70 percent. In addition to the low recurrence rate, other advantages of endovenous laser ablation are the ability to return to work the same day, minimal post-operative pain, negligible of any scarring, and we have eliminated the need for general anesthesia.
