An intraocular lens implant is what the surgeon replaces the cloudy lens or the cataract during this procedure. In effect, there are two things going on, one is the extraction of the cataract, and two is the placement of lens or implant. The lens implant come in variety of materials, they can be acrylic or silicon. They have been around since 1942. The essential benefit of the implant or what we call the intraocular lens is the fine focus division, so the patients can able to see their surroundings with minimal difficulty.
