What is HCG diet? Anser: The HCG diet is a diet protocol done by Dr. Simeons in the 1950's. This diet combines injections of human chorionic gonadoropan along with a very low calorie diet to help patients achieve weight loss from their abdominal fats. This diet protocol is very safe. It is medically monitored. Patients will go beyond the protocol, they can last for up to 25 to 75 days, depending on the weight loss they would want to achieve. They can expect to lose up to two pounds per day on average, and in women about half a pound per day. The remarkable thing about this diet is that with HCG, people can maintain their muscle mass while just metabolizing their fats. This is in total opposite to other low-calorie diet out there. With this diet, people are able to achieve rapid weight loss, and maintain their muscles.
